Eli Sidman is a product designer, strategist, and educator based in Chicago. His work explores the design process as a learning opportunity for kids and adults across different settings: the home, the workplace, and at school. He has rethought student engagement in science education with the Teaching Institute for Excellence in STEM, envisioned the future of digital learning with Samsung, and created WonderVision, a kit of goggles with interchangeable filters designed to spark the curiosity of both kids and adults when confronted with tricky questions about science. He is currently adjunct faculty at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and works closely with the Experience Institute to bring design thinking to a new generation of high school students and educators.
Eli received a B.A. in Physics and Visual Art from Bowdoin College and designed teaching tools and science demonstrations at MIT before completing his Master of Design in Designed Objects at SAIC.
